One study found that individuals with depression and anxiety were three times more likely to be in debt. Other studies have even found a link between debt and suicide.  

It takes a lot of concentration and fortitude to tackle a tall stack of bills or to call the credit card company to address your late payment.

Everyone feels stressed from time to time, but what is stress? How does it affect your overall health? And what can you do to manage your stress?

Stress is how the brain and body respond to any demand. Any type of challenge—such as performance at work or school, a significant life change, or a traumatic event—can be stressful.

Stress can affect your health. It is important to pay attention to how you deal with minor and major stressors, so you know when to seek help.

National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month is observed each July to bring awareness to the unique struggles that racial and ethnic minority communities face regarding mental illness in the United States.
